STRICKEN mum-of-two Mel Moon is the youngest member of a right-to-die \u201csuicide club\u201d \u2014 at the age of 35.<\/p>\n
She has a rare immune system condition that could leave her dying in agony and admitted she has drawn up a plan to kill herself peacefully.<\/p>\n
She told The Sun: \u201cI\u2019d hope my children would understand that, should it come to it, I died to spare them as much as to spare myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stand-up comic Mel \u2014 whose pals include TV\u2019s Jason Manford \u2014 signed up to Exit International\u2019s website after being diagnosed with Polyglandular Failure in February.<\/p>\n
It campaigns for euthanasia and assisted suicide to be legalised and is run by Australian Dr Philip Nitschke \u2014 dubbed Dr Death by critics.<\/p>\n
An office opened here when UK membership topped 1,000. They do not usually accept members under 50.<\/p>\n
Mel, of West Sussex, said: \u201cRight now I don\u2019t want to die but I\u2019m prepared. I have a plan \u2014 it could take a month to get everything in place \u2014 but I can\u2019t tell anyone because you could be arrested.\u201d<\/p>\n
