“If we’re going to acknowledge the right to life, we’ve got to be able to recognise the right to dispose of that gift. And that’s a right to death,” he tells HARDtalk.<\/p>\n

It is of no surprise that in 2021, this argument still has huge currency.<\/p>\n

In early 2021 the Dutch group,Cooperation Last Will initiated court action to prosecute the Dutch state for refusing to abide by the European Convention on Human Rights.<\/p>\n

CLW argue that there is no role for doctors or the State in rational older people’s end of life decision-making.<\/p>\n

Similarly, when Philip Nitschke was interviewed ahead of the opening of the ‘Suizid Lets Talk About it<\/a>‘ exhibition featuring the Sarco euthanasia capsule at the Museum of Sepalchral Culture in Kassel Germany, his answer was the same.<\/p>\n
